Covid 19
Cancer was a word we all feared
Now Covid 19 has taken its place
A new virus that’s put the world on stop
And established itself at such a fast pace
In such a short time it has killed so many
With all the world left aghast
We are all now locked in isolation
With just memories of life in the past
The isolation has now been twelve weeks
In the U.K. forty thousand have died
Many alone with just a nurse on hand
Instead of family and friends by their side
Those NHS workers have battled on
And they have unfortunately seen it all
While we sit and grumble at what we miss
When each day they just answer the call
We owe so much to all of them
And hope soon the world will discover a cure
So we can return to the life we once knew
While those who have lost must endure
Our future does not look too rosy
The worlds economy has taken a fall
There will be lots now facing the dole queues
And many businesses gone to the wall
