My Mirror
I look in my mirror
And what do I see
A grumpy old man
Looking back out at me
I remember his youth
And the times of the past
Especially the bad ones
For those memories will last
He is so independent
And stubborn as well
Firmly set in his ways
Those who know him will tell
When forced with a decision
The mirror I’ll seek
That’s when the grumpy one I see daily
Will then finally speak
So if I’m true to my mirror
And more especially to me
My life will only continue
Just like “I want it to be”
